About Elora

Elora Ontario Canada

Elora, founded in 1832, current population 3800, sits at the convergence of the Grand and Irvine Rivers.

Magnificent natural landmarks like the breathtaking Elora Gorge, the “Quarry”, miles of hiking trails, historic limestone buildings, a quaint downtown core and a spectacularly creative community form an inspirational environment!

In the 1960’s, the first craftspeople and artists took up residence in Elora and established the village as a tourist destination. Artisans transformed the century-old buildings into galleries and introduced Elora to the world.
